You taught me self-sufficiency when you left me all alone when I had no one but you
You taught me endurance when I was haunted by the darkest moments, deprived by thoughts at 3 am.
You taught me creativity when I still write poems, songs, and proses for you - you're my eternal inspiration. 
You taught me how to cry so I could look deeper to find happiness
You taught me strength when I exposed all my weaknesses to you, and myself
You taught me lust on those captivating nights when you were beating inside me 
You taught me hope when I started to see the light through every crack 
You taught me wisdom when I had to lose myself crossing the oceans in your mind
You taught me love when you stayed, when no one was there
You taught me deception when you left
You taught me acceptance when you let go
And you taught me the preciousness of time when I finally start to grow

How can they still say you weren't my soulmate?

Who could have done more 

Than putting the "self" out
